Joy Layout using Simple Stories Cozy Christmas Collection!!!!

Hey there crafty neighbors!!!  I hope you are having a beautiful month! I'm popping in today to share a layout I created using lots of Creative Embellishments goodies and the December kit from Frosted Designs :-)

Here's a look at my daughters at a little place called "Christmas Town" here in Tampa:

I started my page by creating a  my background ( I didn't want to add too much as the paper already has some fabulous designs on it)!  I used the Distressed Burlap Stamp and second generation stamping for a subtle affect.

I then used the Circle Bokeh Stamp and a thin layer of gesso spread on using a palette knife to add more depth to my page!

My Punchinella Panel chipboard piece was inked with distress ink, then sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Pearls for some shimmer, then tucked under my picture :-)
Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in!  Have a LUCKY day :-)

"Fly" Mixed Media Canvas for Creative Embellishments!!!!

Hey there crafty friends!!!  I hope you are having a beautiful start to your new year thus far!!!  I'm popping in today with a mixed media canvas using all kinds of Creative Embellishments goodies!

Here's a look:

I started by creating my background using various acrylics, mists, and other mediums.  I even used the Punchinella Panel as a stencil to add some depth into my background!

I sprayed some white mist onto some glossy paper and stamped the Circles Bokeh Stamp into it and added some more pattern around the canvas!

I altered the Spread Your Wings title with some white mist and a purple gelato, adding a gradient effect!

The Steampunk Dress Form 2 was primed, then colored using various gelatos.  I added a tiny amount of Luminarte paint on the main piece, used a white Signo pen for accents, then sprayed the entire piece with homemade glimmer mist! DSC07953

I finished the canvas with lots of yummy flowers, using the Butterfly Flair to fill in spots and extend the message of the piece!

Well gang... Thanks so much for popping in and have a LUCKY day :-)

Altered New Years Hat for Creative Embellishments!

Happy New Years folks!!!!  I hope you had a safe and beautiful beginning to this wonderful year ahead!!!  I'm popping in today because it's the first... Which means a new challenge over at Creative Embellishments!!!

Here's a look at this month's inspiration photo:

I found a chipboard hat at my local Michael's and decided to dress it up for New Years!  Here's a look:

LOVE these wings!!!  They are stunning!!!!
I picked up this paper mache hat at my local Michaels for about a $1.00!
I started by priming my hat and coating it with black glittered spray paint.  I used my Cricut Explore to make a stencil for a 3/4 inch circle.  I mixed up some silver glitter and molding paste and added it through the stencil around the hat for a circle pattern!

I primed my chipboard wings, then used gold pigment ink to color them.  I spritzed them with Perfect Pearls mist in Gold for added shimmer and shine!

I finished the hat with some gold trim, some clocks by Tim Holtz, and Thickers "DIY" numbers sprinkled with the same silver glitter!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in!  Have a LUCKY day :-)

Last Minute Gift Ideas for the Holiday!!!!

Hey there crafty neighbors!!!!  I'm up on the Creative Embellishments blog today with some last minute gift ideas!!!
I'm sure you are just as busy as we are during the holiday season so I will make this short and sweet!!

Here's a look:

I picked up these frames at my local craft store for about $.30 each.  I painted them, added papers from this month's traditions kit from Frosted Designs and a picture, then embellished for an outstanding gift for the holiday!

For the first one, I used the "Flourish 6" piece which was painted with Luminarte paints, then coated with distress crackle paint for texture.  Once dried, I added gold stickles to the ends of the leaves for accents :-)

For my second piece, I used the word "Amazing" which I sprayed with Maya Road "white out" mist.  Once dried, I used a sharpie brush tip marker on the upper half, then added gold stickles again for accent!

For my last altered frame, I used the "Flourish 22" chipboard piece (one can never have too many flourishes!!!) that I colored using a brush tip sharpie some Luminarte Paint for shimmer.  Once dried, I used my white Signo pen for accents and topped it off with stickles!!!

Well gang...  Thanks so much for stopping in.  Have a beautiful holiday!!!!!

Christmas Gift Ideas using Traditions Kit from Frosted Designs!!!!

Hello there crafty friends!!!! It's Brandi popping in with a quick tutorial on a simple Christmas gift for the holidays!!!!

Here's a look at what I made using this month's "Traditions" kit:

Two very simple wall hangings using a variety of things from the kit!!!!
I started with a bare wood frame and painted it with my desired colors, then went over them with distress crackle paint for some shine!

I measured out my papers and added them to the wood:

I chose my pics, added them to the paper, then embellished with tid bits from the kit and flowers!!!

I cut the holly berry wood pieces and colored them with distress markers, then tucked them behind the flowers!

I fussy cut some of the sayings from the papers to add them as well!

I used the stamp included in the kit and some pigment ink to add the text directly to my photo:

I finished each piece with the twine from the kit using hot glue on the back!!

And there you have it!!!!  Two Christmas gifts and plenty more left over :-)

Well gang... Thanks so much for stopping in and have a LUCKY day :-)
